About Us 

Winningham & Fradley Inc. is a 40+ year Professional Engineering and
Surveying Firm in the Broward County area. We are looking for an
experienced inspector to play an integral role within our highly
professional and dedicated team. This position will be responsible for
the inspection of construction projects for both Public and Private
Clients and for improvements to ensure compliance with state, federal
and/or local codes, ordinances, standards and specifications.
We are looking for a dedicated team member who’s experienced in land
development inspection, including but not limited to, paving,
drainage, sidewalks and curbing, water distribution, sewage collection
& transmission systems, pumping stations, roadway and parking lot
construction & reconstruction, utility system rehabilitation, pavement
markings and corresponding signage, familiar with sedimentation &
erosion control measures, and other related civil related elements.
This position requires the ability to read and interpret engineering
plans and construction specifications and to communicate with office
staff, clients, contractors, and with governmental authorities. Work
hours are typically 7:30am to 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch. Although
seldomly expected, this position may also require after hours work
(including nights & weekends) when needed.

Responsibilities and Duties
•Attend pre-construction meetings.
•Review and interpret plans and specifications for
construction projects to ensure conformance with the design.
•Conduct field inspections as required.
•Witness field tests to insure compliance with plans,
specifications & regulations.
•Report deviations and field conflicts to engineer for
clarification and resolution.
•Prepare daily inspection reports, maintain records and
supporting documentation.
•Review and approve shop drawings.
•Review as-built and record drawings.
•Attend final inspections and coordinate project close-out
with staff.

Qualifications
•6+ years experience (preferred) as a Civil Engineering
Construction Inspector, 4 years (minimum).
•Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and safety regulations.
•Valid driver’s license.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Available to work after hours when needed.
•Ability to work well with others.

Schedule: 8 hr shift (7:30am to 4:30pm, 1 hr lunch), Monday to Friday
Education: High School Diploma (minimum); Civil Engineering Inspection
Certifications (preferred) but not required
Experience: 4 years (minimum), 6+ years (preferred)
Language: English; bi-lingual/multi-lingual welcomed
