Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Fan Experience & Sales and the Associate Director of Fan Experience and Sales with the overall marketing, advertising, and sales efforts for Wake Forest Athletics.
- Oversee all marketing, sales, and promotional efforts for assigned sports:
- Serve as primary contact for women's soccer.
- Formulate season ticket and single game sales campaigns for women's soccer, while assisting in efforts related to Wake Forest football.
- Assists in all men's basketball and baseball marketing and promotional efforts.
- Develop and execute fully integrated marketing plans, utilizing conventional, grassroots, and digital marketing strategies to drive engagement and sales.
- Organize single game promotions at events to increase attendance and revenue.
- Write scripts and direct in-game timing and execution of promotions, video board features, music, public address reads and other elements during the season.
- Provide leadership in game day marketing responsibilities to include pre-game and half-time preparations, presentation coordination, and group ticket management.
- Assist in concept-creation and execution of sport-specific sponsorship elements to create an engaging in-game atmosphere for fans and student athletes.
- Work with Assistant AD for Fan Experience and Sales on football gameday presentation.
- Manages large special events with an emphasis on group sales.
- Provide leadership in daily strategy and operations of the Junior Deacs Kids Club.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- One year experience of marketing and promotions experience at the collegiate or professional level required or equivalent education and related training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
- Highly organized and ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong initiative to solve problems.
- Extraordinary focus on customer service.
- Willing to work in a team atmosphere where expectations are set and managed while giving staff flexibility to do their assigned task as both a leader and/or a follower.
- Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in marketing or sales.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver license with good driving record; must be insurable.
- Work hours are unpredictable and may require including nights and weekends; frequent interruptions based on changing priorities; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
- Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
- Job occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting up to 25lbs.
- Occasional and or light lifting required. Exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but none to the point of being disagreeable.
