Essential Functions:
- Directs guests as appropriate to the Front Desk, dining site, or event on property.
- Assists Graylyn guests with luggage and other personal items at check-in and departure.
- Provides valet parking services for Graylyn guests.
- Provides on and off-property transportation for Graylyn guests.
- Provides directional assistance whether on or off Graylyn property.
- Tracks airline changes, with regard to arrival and departure information, confirm flight schedules; completes transportation tickets for billing purposes.
- Places requested items in guest rooms, such as gift baskets, etc., as directed by Coordination or Front Desk staff.
- Provides on-property transportation for Graylyn staff.
- Assists with routine maintenance and storage of Graylyn Guest Services vehicles.
- Assists with implementing early morning and late night preparation of public spaces.
- Assists with the general upkeep of the Guest Services office and storage areas.
- High School graduate and one year of related hospitality experience or equivalent experience working with the public.
- Ability to interact with guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Ability to work a FLEXIBLE schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to drive a variety of guest-owned vehicles.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions.
- Must meet the requirements of the University's automobile insurance policy.
- Must be able to communicate appropriately with guests and staff via phone, radio, internet and face-to-face contact.
- Hospitality experience.
- Familiarity with Winston-Salem area.
- Responsible for own work only.
- Responsible for the privacy, safety & well-being of guests while they are being assisted by you.
- Responsible for the safe keeping of any items entrusted to you by guests or staff.
- Responsible for maintaining a professional appearance during work hours (uniform provided).
