Designing and implementing computer and information networks, such as local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, extranets and other data communications networks. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. Research and recommend data communication hardware and software. Act as an advocate for campus scholars and researchers in the Information Technology Services organization. Responsible for advancing the University’s investment in cyberinfrastructure through strategic planning, integration, coordination and deployment of information technology to support research and scholarship.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, or related together with 60 months experience in information technology including research data management, modern storage lifecycle strategies, and usage cost optimization and knowledge of information technology and its use in education, research and support. Knowledge of research standards and other research compliance frameworks.
