Brief Summary of Job Description
Duties for this position will primarily include laboratory instruction in general biology for majors, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology. Opportunities for lecture instruction in lower-division courses for both majors and non-majors are possible. Lecturers are required to provide some service to the department or university. Opportunities to engage in research are available but not expected. The university is committed to undergraduate teaching and research, community engagement, and meaningful faculty-student interactions. Advancement is possible.
Job Duties
Teach introductory laboratories in anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and introductory biology. Additional help prepping laboratories.
Possibility of having their own class depending upon expertise. Small service expectations in the department.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold an MS degree in Biology or closely related disciplines. The candidate should demonstrate evidence of excellent teaching and effective communication and collaborative skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience related to biology, anatomy, and physiology, and/or microbiology at the undergraduate level.
