Assistant or Associate Professor, Cyber Systems
The newly formed Cyber Systems Department is seeking a professor (tenure-track assistant) to begin as soon as possible but no later than Spring 2021. The Department is looking for a passionate educator and researcher for the Cyber Systems department to support educational and research programs in one or more of the following emerging socio-technical and organizational as well as behavioral computation areas such as Cyber Social computing, Organizational computing, Human Computer Interactions, Cyber Information Modeling, Behavioral Information Security, Organizational Risks from Cyber, Digital Forensics, Internet of Things or Virtualization.
Reaching responsibilities may be in one or more of the following areas: CS/IT/Cybersecurity/Business Intelligence and Analytics as well as contribute to new areas of Cyber Systems in organizational security, social computing, at organizational cyber information behavior and social systems. This position also will be instrumental in developing new teaching focus in cybersecurity, algorithms, data science and or social/behavioral/organizational computation specific to organizational computation, creating UNK general studies/common core in cyber social computation. This position will also contribute to teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to organizational and social information behavior, information technology project management and social computation for Bachelor and Graduate programs (MBA) in Cyber Operations and Cyber Security from the perspective of organizational and social computation.
This position requires a background in interdisciplinary computational science where a candidate would have interest in teaching and research in areas such as algorithms, data visualization, and/or cyberpsychology, cyber organizational and social behavior, cyber data analytics, health data analytics, social media analytics, Other existing courses that can be taught by the candidate are Business networking and systems law and policy, cybersecurity fundamentals, information networking. Conducting Research & disseminating results is required in a related field alongside service to the program, department, university & community.
