School of Social Work has an outstanding job opportunity for Temporary Part Time Research Study Assistant.
The Research Study Assistant will perform work in support of a research study involving human subjects. The study aims to validate a pain and function questionnaire for Spanish-speaking adults receiving care for chronic pain at a Sea Mar Community Health Center primary care clinic.
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, perform varied support functions requiring fluent Spanish.
Screen prospective participants subjects in Spanish and/or English to determine eligibility according to research protocol eligibility criteria;
Explain study parameters and obtain informed consent in Spanish;
Conduct and document interviews according to established protocol in Spanish;
Extract clinical information from electronic medical records of research subjects;
Maintain confidentiality of subject records;
Gather and compile data; assist in developing and setting up database files.
Main study site: Bellingham, WA.
Required:
Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience
Fluent Spanish speaker
Desired:
Experience in healthcare or biomedical research
Native Spanish speaker
