HMC Respiratory Care has an outstanding opportunity for a full time day shift Program Coordinator.
Respiratory Care Program Coordinator duties include:
• Carrying out program activities related to daily billing
• Daily processing the department charges for patient care
• Exercising independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules in relation to patient billing activities
• Audit/monitor program activities to determine consistency and accuracy of billing practices of the staff
• Monitor and advise staff regarding rules and regulations associated with patient billing
Other duties include:
Performing general office duties in coordination with the Program Support Supervisor I. Duties may include payroll, budget oversight, purchasing and tasks specific to the function of the Respiratory Care Department and the Pulmonary Function Lab.
Provides telephone and in-person contact, receives and refers visitors, responds to inquiries regarding Respiratory Care and Pulmonary Function.
Works interdepartmentally to troubleshoot problems and coordinate solutions.
Assists with general office duties (e.g.,Kronos, HMM, Word, Excel, etc.) to maintain complex database and spreadsheet systems, including graphics to process the billing system.
Accurately performs data entry.
Establishes, revises and maintains electronic and manual files associated with the billing system and employee personnel files.
Consistently confirms information is processed accurately by following up, obtain missing information and maintaining both electronic and manual files.
Appropriately answers telephones, takes messages, receives callers and directs visitors in a positive and friendly manner.
Makes sure message information is accurate: name, phone number, etc.
Assures the daily, weekly, monthly reports and other assigned filing is filed in a timely manner.
Suggests ways and exercises initiatives to increase efficiency.
Appropriately prioritizes work to ensure assignments are completed by/before deadlines.
Volume/priority concerns are communicated with supervisor/initiator immediately for prioritization.
Handles routine workload without the assistance of others.
Performs quality work with minimal supervision.
Processes invoices in a timely manner.
Orders all Office supplies and minor equipment for the department.
Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.
