Essential Functions: The University of Pittsburgh's Business, Hospitality, and Auxiliary Services (BHAS) University Stores team is seeking a qualified Marketing and Events Coordinator. Duties associated with this position include marketing and promotion, data and financial analysis, event planning, and other duties as asked. For marketing and promotion, the incumbent would coordinate with the stores' leadership team to create and implement retail marketing plans. Collaborate with the BHAS marketing team to identify effective marketing tactics and creating an action plan for all stores' marketing. For data and financial analysis, the incumbent will conduct data analysis to provide sales and ROI information to administration. As well as set departmental goals and plans budget with the Executive Director of University Stores and Strategic Initiatives' approval. For event planning the incumbent will act as a liaison of event planning by identifying event opportunities, coordinating scheduling, organizing, and staffing events with the Operations Manager and team. Furthermore, gather requests for marketing support, and collaborate with other team members to ensure each event is successfully executed. Evenings and weekends are required. Other duties will be as assigned.
Physical Effort: The incumbent serves in a basic administrative capacity. Must be able to plan and execute various events. Strong interpersonal skills and public speaking skills are required. Sitting, Standing, Walking. Occasional lifting of boxes and/or other materials to set up events - up to 50 lbs.
