The University of Pittsburgh Physicians Heart and Vascular Institute and the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is seeking additional full-time faculty for the Division of Cardiac Surgery. The successful candidate will be part of the cardiac surgical team at UPMC Presbyterian which is located in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. UPMC is a world-renowned health care institution with an academic core of clinical excellence and cutting-edge research. UPMC is ranked among America's best hospitals, by U.S. News & World Report, for heart care and heart surgery.

A professor position in the tenure/non-tenure track is available at the University of Pittsburgh with rank and salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials. The candidate should have demonstrated teaching ability, substantial experience in advanced study and research, or professional experience of a kind which would enable him or her to make a comparable academic contribution. He or she should exhibit promise of originality and excellence in some field connected with teaching, writing, or research, and should have demonstrated ability in guiding and counseling students.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Experience as a teacher or mentor of medical students and residents
- Board Certified
- Demonstrated excellent clinic outcomes
- Pennsylvania medical license

Licensure, Certifications and Clearances:
