Working Title: Business Manager
Brief Summary of Job Description: Under the direction of Director of Facilities Management and Planning, the Facilities' Business Manager is responsible for the management and operation of the Facilities Management and Planning Department business and support functions including accounting, budget, personnel administration, Motor Pool, Central Stores, Facilities Service Desk, and campus events scheduling.
Job Duties: Directs and coordinates the delivery of client-focused comprehensive facility management programs and services, by department staff, external consultants and contractors. Management of Facilities Management and Planning accounting functions, purchasing, accounts payable, billing, budgeting, inventory control; operation of the Central Stores including central supply, and small parts inventories; serve as excess property manager for the department and campus; responsible for Facilities Management and Planning personnel administration and related activities; Review and analyze functional areas as requested by the Director; develop benchmarks with other campuses, coordinate activities with appropriate campus departments; Assist Director in facilities related capital and deferred budget surveys and preparations, capital construction and capital renewal, ADA, code compliance issues, audits, preparation of grant applications and reports; plan for future technology and information systems needs of the department; Manage facilities service desk and develop and maintain programs to improve customer service; manage Motor Pool analyzing costs and developing cost savings programs and processes. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
