Assistant Research Professor

Job Description

The Missouri Prevention Science Institute is recruiting for two full-time assistant research professors to help support the coordination of a large-scale education and clinical grants.

Responsibilities

The person filling this position will be responsible for assisting with overall project coordination under the supervision of the MPSI directors.

The key responsibilities include:
  • Helping organize and manage materials and resources related to successful project completion
  • Assisting with efforts to recruit and retain participants in the programs
  • Helping coordinate communication among all project partners and ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements. Participate in data collection planning, coordination, and completion.
  • Attend regular project planning meetings
  • Write scholarly papers and submit grants consistent with the mission of MPSI.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Doctoral Degree in Special Education, School Psychology, Education, School Counseling, School Social Work, or related field by time of appointment.

Candidates will be evaluated on the following: Experience with school-based research, training, supervision, and interventions. Experience coordinating or helping conduct large grants or related experiences. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience in working with diverse educational groups on outreach or research.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Appointment is ranked, non-regular, twelve-month appointment.
