Physical Requirements

This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); standing for extended periods of time; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Regular job-related travel is also involved (>50% of time).

Shift

Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. As an exempt-level position, some outside hours (evenings, nights, and/or weekends) may be required in order to meet job and departmental business needs.

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Technical Project Specialist II is to engage KY- REC clients including hospitals, clinics, and private practice physician offices, for the purposes of conducting a thorough and complete analysis of the threats and vulnerabilities of the organization's electronic protected health information (e- PHI) to establish overall risks. This position will also provide health IT and quality improvement support for facilities as indicated by the KY- REC client need.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience with HIPPA Privacy and Security Regulations, Vulnerability scans, Microsoft Excel, Word; Salesforce, specifically with project management.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher; at least four full years of paid employment experience within HIPAA Privacy and Security and/or Health IT. CHPS or CISSP preferred.
