Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include occasional lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to and over 50 lbs; regular sitting at computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion such as typing; occasional exposure to temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts and punctures, and blood bore and airborne pathogens and intermittent exposure to loud noises.
Shift
Primarily Monday- Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm; may include weekend times.
Job Summary
The Data Analyst/Report Writer will develop, enter, and manage the data warehouse for internal comparative database information for National Safety Healthcare Network ( NHSN), Patient Safety, and SI Datix for the hospital. This position will develop computer programs to meet specific system needs, reports, and graphs to provide comparative infection rates for specific areas. The Data Analyst/Report Writer will also assist other departments in data analysis and statistical display; develop and manage multiple department and organizational websites; understand HIPPA and confidentiality of patient information and maintain a pleasant, cooperative, and appropriate attitude with departmental staff and UK Health Care Staff.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following computer programs: Access Database, SharePoint, NHSN Database, Excel, and PowerPoint; excellent communication and computer skills and be able to accurately complete routine functions with high attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-intensity, professional work environment. Should have the ability to provide superior customer service, work with a teamwork mindset; and respect for confidentiality and diversity.
