Job Description
This position will provide field supervision and leadership to the preventive maintenance staff in performing maintenance a verity of industrial mechanical equipment at an institutional setting. Using experience of the trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) and manufacturer's recommendations to ensure equipment is maintained properly and as designed. This position will also perform inspections of equipment and make minor repairs or adjustments as needed to equipment and provide technical guidance to staff as needed to ensure equipment is maintained properly.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of preventative maintenance and repair of electrical systems. Ability to diagnose problems and resolve electrical issues. Knowledge of standard preventative maintenance plans for electrical systems in an institutional setting. Excellent working knowledge of all phases of electrical systems dealing with light commercial equipment in an institutional setting. Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical schematic and building blueprints. Ability to plan work and manage multiple tasks such as ordering material and scheduling work based on a work order system and the needs of the campus. Knowledge of effective methods of leading a work team. Demonstrated knowledge in providing training, work direction, constructive discipline and recognition as a supervisor.

Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Level and type of experience
Several years of recent experience working in the electrical trade. Considerable experience in supervising electrical mechanics and helpers in repairing and adjusting electrical equipment i.e. HVAC equipment, lighting systems and low/high voltage control systems.
Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification
Master electrician with several years experience supervising and working in both maintenance and construction fields. High School graduate or equivalent.
