Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Coordinator provides creative and web services to the college community, leadership in social media engagement, digital marketing, and ROI evaluation. Assists with telling the BCTC story through digital communication. Reports to the Director of Marketing and Digital Strategies.
Job Duties:
1. Coordinates design and distribution of digital content such as email, text messaging, social media channels, and campus signage
2. Assists with digital design interns and oversees the accuracy of digital projects
3. Creates and updates BCTC digital viewbook
4. Develops and executes social media engagement strategy, including daily content creation, publicizing events, monitoring and responding to social media comments
5. Engages student participation with social media channels and leads student social media influencers
6. Develops and executes digital advertising strategy
7. Evaluates, manages and reports social media engagement and ROI through analytics
8. Maintains expenditures and budget for social media advertising
9. Monitors the KCTCS App Chat, BCTC Event Calendar, and the Buzz platforms
10. Assists in ensuring the accuracy of college-wide communications
11. Supports college events by attending and documenting events on social media
12. Cross train with the Creative Services Coordinator to provide photography, videography, and graphic design support
13. Enforces web usage policies to ensure accuracy and ADA compliance, including outdated information, broken links, and images on all existing and new digital materials
14. Assists with marketing project management
15. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors in a related field and 1-2 years-related experience, or the equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to handle job-related tasks with general direction, including identifying and solving problems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Proficient in computer usage including MS Office, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with digital analytics
• Ability to function in a lead capacity over others but not as direct supervisor
