Part-Time Office Manager
Jones Mandel, a research company, is seeking to hire a part time office manager for our Alexandria, VA office. The Office Manager will work with the firm's partners to organize the company and fulfill specific tasks. Day to day, this person will manage all logistics of the VA office, manage our firm's vendors, be in charge of our computer inventory and help the firm onboard and welcome new employees.
We are looking for someone who is organized, efficient, can "manage up" to the partners, and someone with excellent follow-through skills.
The Office Manager will be expected to perform the following essential functions:
- Assists with our reimbursement process using Expensify software program.
- Completes expense reports for the firm's two Partners
- Assists with our onboarding and offboarding work of employees
- Posts jobs, schedules interviews and communicates with applicants for the firm
- Drafts client contracts using DocuSign
- Coordinates with VA office vendors
- Maintains computer inventory; ships and receives computer equipment for staff
- Coordinate office processes such as birthday list and conf room sign-ups
- As needed, purchasing of office equipment and supplies
- Coordinate internal events such as office lunches, happy hours and trainings
- Additional tasks as directed by JM's partners and senior staff
Preferred applicants will have some of experience in the following areas:
- Administrative Experience
- Clerical Experience
- Scheduling
- Office coordination
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following qualities, which will be key to the future success of the Executive Assistant:

- Works collaboratively with a small team and able to work independently

- Able to complete multiple small tasks in a day and over a week consistently
Education/Experience
Associates Degree. Prior office management experience preferred, but not required.
Pay, Benefits, and Location of Position
- The Office Manager is an hourly position that will pay between $40-$55 an hour based on experience. At this time, we estimate the position will have a range of 15-30 hours per week.
- The position offers flexible work hours and is primarily a remote/WFH position. We do ask for some office hours in Alexandria, VA one day a week.
