Job Summary

Oversees the operations and logistics of the College of Business' Specialized Masters programs. Manages the recruitment, admissions, student and alumni services, and external partnerships.
  • Participates in the development and leads in the implementation of program strategy for the Specialized Masters programs.
  • Oversees the student recruitment and application process that includes reviewing applications to recommend for admission.
  • Oversees the delivery of student services, including orientation, speaker visits, graduation, and special events.
  • Coordinates communication with Specialized Masters programs advisory board.
  • Develops program information to prospective students through various mediums throughout the application and admissions process.
  • Collaborates with departmental leadership in identifying and promoting program initiatives and executes strategies to meet admissions goals.
  • Works closely with Specialized Masters programs leadership to resolve student conflicts and ensure academic integrity as needed.
  • Assists in the engagement of the alumni network and the advisory board.
  • Collaborates with FIU Online and the Specialized Masters programs recruiters on recruitment and marketing efforts.
  • Supervises, develops and coordinates the activities of direct reports.
  • Works closely with the College's Finance and Administration team in the development and management of the program operating budgets. Generates monthly variance reports, and analyzes current and past budgets to develop short and long-term forecast.
  • Approves requisitions and receives goods or services against purchase orders. Oversees travel related requests and expenses. Manages and reconciles program expenses.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
  • Collaborates with the Specialized Masters programs Recruiters and College's Marketing and Communications team in developing digital and print promotional collateral's in alignment with program marketing strategy.
  • Interprets University administrative and fiscal policies and procedures. Provides recommendations on procedures for the unit to improve administrative and fiscal operation for the programs and office site.
  • Develops domestic and overseas corporate partnerships.
  • Serves as the University's credit card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University's rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four (4) years of related experience, or Master's degree in an appropriate specialization and two (2) years related experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft, Intelliworks, Blackboard, Adobe Connect, Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) and/or ImageNow applications preferred.
  • Experience in recruitment and/or prospect development.
  • Supervisory experience.
