Field Representative

Fruit Growers Laboratory, Inc. (FGL) is searching for a Field Representative for our Chico, CA Laboratory location.

• Duties include sampling/picking up environmental samples of drinking water, wastewater and surface water plus sampling/picking up agricultural samples of soil, plant tissue and irrigation waters. 
• The person in this position may be cross-trained in other areas of the operation including sample receiving, shipping, customer service, and bacteriological analysis
• The position will start with side-by-side route training in our company vehicle to learn the daily responsibilities and experience customer service and experience with our customers.  Potential flexibility to schedule depending on our customers’ needs, environmental factors, and the changing market.

Our customers range from private citizens to government agencies.  The ability to engage with our customers and providing a positive and professional service experience is important, as well as accurately filling out forms and collecting necessary data.  You will be interacting with our customers and getting signatures for the samples as required

• The ideal applicant will be eager to learn, possess great attention to detail while thinking critically, have the ability to multi-task and can work independently in a team setting.

This is a full-time position with benefits.  This is a full-time position with benefits which include health, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) program. The salary is  $20.00 per hour depending on experience. Potentially varying hours and schedule with some flexibility.

Must have a clean driving record.  Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined, okay working outdoors, be able to perform physical activities and lift at least 50 lbs.
