The purpose of this class is to provide departmental leadership and direction consistent with the strategic vision of assigned division and the mission of the College.Bachelor's degree, in a Finance related field, and five (5) years of full-time experience working in finance required; master's degree preferred. Extensive knowledge of financial services. Three (3) years of supervisory experience within financial administration, experience can be concurrent. Proficiency with Microsoft applications and financial management systems required. Candidates with accounts receivable, collections and higher education experience preferred. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required.
  1. Provide direct supervision and evaluation to assigned staff.
  2. Develop and manage operating budget for assigned unit college-wide, as required.
  3. Establish goals and objectives for operations consistent with CCBC's mission.

  1. Manage the decentralized bursar functions, as well as centralized functions such as student refund disbursement, student and third-party billing, account reconciliation, and collection agency referral.
  2. Manage financial tables related to student fee assessment.
  3. Coordinate bursar processes with enrollment and student service departments, academic deans, program coordinators, etc.
  4. Account for day-to-day internal controls of student financial transactions in accordance with sound financial management guidelines.
  5. Prepare student financial reporting and follow compliance procedures for external auditors and county and state regulators.
