The City of Minden, NE is accepting applications for a full-time Utilities Worker to assist with the water and wastewater treatment plants and infrastructure. Successful applicant must be highly motivated and possess a NE class B CDL license. Class IV water license and Class II wastewater license preferred. Training is also encouraged for additional water and wastewater certifications. Primary duties include maintenance and repair of the City’s water treatment plant, storage reservoirs and distribution system; maintenance and repair of the City’s wastewater treatment plant, lift stations and collection system. Additional requirements necessary for the position include strong mechanical skills and ability to operate heavy equipment such as loader, backhoe, tapping machines, dump trucks, aerial lift equipment, etc. Position includes on-call responsibilities. Wage is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful applicant will receive a highly competitive benefits package including full family health insurance and retirement plan.
