Chief of Police:
The City of Minden is currently seeking experienced, forward-thinking candidates who desire to provide great community police service for the position of Police Chief.
The Police Chief is responsible for the day to day operations of the police department with 5 full-time officers (including the Police Chief) and 1 part-time officer. Police officers currently work rotational 12-hour shifts with varied days/weekends off. All officers are required to work weekends and Holidays as needed.
Qualifications: Six to nine years of law enforcement experience. Two or more years of supervisory experience is preferred. A valid Nebraska Driver’s License and graduation from the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center or successful completion of the Reciprocity course are required. Candidates are subject to an evaluation profile review, background check and drug screen.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The successful applicant will receive a highly competitive benefits package including full family health insurance, vision, dental and retirement plan.
