7-12 English/Language Arts
Arthur County Schools is seeking qualified candidates as a 7 -12 English/Language Arts instructor in our JH/High School. Candidates for this position shall work collaboratively with teachers in grades K-12. Be able to teach a variety of subjects for students in grades 7-12 and prepare students for assessments relating to achieving national and state standards. Coaching is available in this position.
Successful candidates will hold or be able to hold proper endorsements to teach 7-12 English/Language Arts classes. Arthur County Schools is located in the village of Arthur in the Sandhills area of Nebraska. It is 25 Miles North of Lake McConaughy, near Ogallala, Nebraska. We have strong community support. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. The Current Base Salary for a beginning teacher with no experience is $35,500 plus full insurance. Boys Basketball Coaches (Head Coach and Assistant Coach)

Arthur County Schools is seeking candidates for Head Boys Basketball Coach and Assistant Boys Basketball Coach. We also currently have an opening for a 7-12 English Language Arts teacher and preference would be to hire with a teaching position, however, applicants outside of teaching may be accepted provided they meet the following requirements.
Education Level and Certification: High school degree or GED required. In order to serve as a head or assistant coach or sponsor of any activity sponsored by the NSAA, individuals must possess a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Nebraska Administrative and Supervisory Certificate or a Special Services Certificate for coaching issued by the Nebraska Department of Education.
Objectives and expectations of the basketball program are to educate students through participation in basketball as an extra-curricular activity. Competitive success is desirable. The primary objectives, however, are to (1) enhance the student participants’ academic achievement, (2) promote the physical, mental, moral, social, and emotional well-being of the student participants, (3) promote appreciation of the discipline and good sportsmanship, and (4) promote a program that represents the school in a positive manner.
Pay is regulated through the Negotiated agreement, it is calculated using the base teacher pay for the year, and is paid over the course of the season beginning in December and ending in March. Base teacher pay at this time is 35,500 and the Head coach is paid at a rate of 9% of that base or at a total of $3,195.00 and the assistant coach is paid 7% of that base or a total of $2,485.00
